Pudina Chutney Ingredients
Ingrediant | Quantity Required |
Fresh Mint Leaves / (Pudina Leaves) | 3 Cups |
Peanut Oil | 3 Table Spoon |
Mustard | 1/2 Table Spoon |
Curry Leaves | 10 to 20 Leaves |
Urad Dal | 1 Tea Spoon |
Toor Dal | 2 Tea Spoon |
Red Chillies | 10 to 15 Nos |
Tamarind | 50 to 70 Grams |
Salt | 2 Table Spoon |
Cumin Seeds | 1 Tea Spoon |
Water | to Grind |
Garlic | I Small Piece |
Sesame Seeds | 4 Tea Spoons |
Pudina Chutney Preparation Method
1) Heat oil in a saute pan on low flame. and Add Red chilies and keep sauteing until they turn golden.
2)Add Some Water and Cook Tamarind in a separate bowl.
3) Now Again Heat Oil add Sesame seeds and Cumin seeds fry them on a low flame.
4) Now add the mint / Pudina leaves and then add salt. Adding salt with the mint leaves will help the leaves cook faster and retain the color.
5) Take the pan off heat after 3-4 minutes. By this time the mint or pudina would have wilted.
6) Now add the tamarind, add all above ingredients to the Mixer. Once the mixture cools down, grind to a smooth paste. Serve with idly or dosa.
If Needed for more taste
7)Heat oil in a saute pan on low flame. Add the mustard seeds
8) and curry leaves and let the mustard splutter.
9)Then add the Toor dal, the urad dal and Now add Smooth Paste. Serve with Idly or Dosa or Rice.
