Priyanka Chopra was born 18th July 1982 to the family of Dr. Ashok Chopra & Dr. Madhu Chopra in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She also has a brother Siddharth, who is eight years younger than her. Priyanka Chopra was crowned Miss India World and later Miss World in 2000 even before she won the award; Priyanka Chopra was very involved in philanthropic activities.
Priyanka Chopra spent her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Newton, Massachusetts, and Ceder Rapids, Iowa. Since Priyanka Chopra father was in the Army, her family frequently moved. Priyanka Chopra studied at St. Maria Goretti in Bareilly, as a young girl and later went to the United States, where she was a student at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts and North Surrey Secondary School in Surrey, BC before returning to India to complete high school at Army School (Bareilly). Priyanka Chopra began college at Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant..

Former Miss India World and later becoming Miss World 2000 Chopra made her acting debut with the Tamil film Thamizhan in the year 2001. Priyanka chopra is the only Indian in the USA to have been selected at the state level for the National Opus Honor Choir, extensive charity work back in India and the USA, and joined the CAF and CII in their literacy program and is their ambassador.
Priyanka Chopra is the first film actress who was nominated both for the Best Villain and Best Supporting Actress in a single year at the Film Fare Wards in 2005.
