Oats Ragi Rava Idli Recipe
Ingredients Oats Ragi Rava Idli:
Pepper and spice oats | 1 cup |
Ragi flour | 1 cup |
Rava | 1 cup |
Yogurt | 1 cup |
Green chillies | 2 |
Ginger | 1 inch |
Curry leaves | 1 sprig |
Mustard seeds | 1 tea spoon |
Baking powder | 1 tea spoon |
Oil | 1 table spoon |
Oil for seasoning | 1 tea spoon |
Salt | to taste |
Coriander leaves | 1 small bunch |
Oats Ragi Rava Idli preparation method :
Chop green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves and keep aside.
Take Pepper and Spice Masala Oats, ragi flour, rava, yogurt and salt in a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of water and make a thick batter.
Allow the batter to rest for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and allow it to crackle. Turn off the heat and keep aside
After 15 minutes, add additional water if the batter has become too thick.
Add the seasoning, green chillies, ginger, baking powder, salt and a tablespoon of oil to the batter and stir well to combine.
Preheat a Idli steamer with water.
Take Idli plates and pour the Oats Ragi Rava Idli batter into the cavities in the plate.
Place the Idli stand into the preheated steamer and steam the idlis for 10 minutes.
Once steamed, remove the Oats Ragi Rava Idli from the steamer and keep aside for 2 minutes.
With the help of a spoon remove idlis into serving dish.
Now the Oats Ragi Rava Idlis are ready to serve.
Serve the Oats Ragi Rava Idlis with tomato chutney or coconut chutney and sambar.
