Methi Tomato Pulav Recipe
Ingredients to prepare Methi Tomato Pulav :
Basmati rice |

Methi Tomato Pulav preparation method :
Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes.
Wash and remove the tough stems of the methi leaves and chop.
Wash and blend tomatoes into puree in a blender.
Chop onions into dice, slit green chillies.
Chop coriander finely.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions, slit green chilles, curry leaves and saute till the onions are translucent.
Then add the tomato puree and chopped methi leaves and saute.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and curry powder or sambar powder and stir well.
Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
Drain the water from the soaked rice and add to the tomato, methi leaves mixture and stir.
Add salt and stir to coat the rice with spices.
Add 2 cups of water and bring it to boil.
Cover with lid and cook till the rice is completely done on low flame.
Add chopped coriander and remove from flame.
Now the Tomato Methi Pulav is ready to serve.
Serve hot with Raita.
