Chicken Biryani Recipe
1. **Ingredients Needed**
– 500g Chicken
– 2 cups Basmati Rice
– 1 cup Yogurt – 2 Onions (sliced thin)
– 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
– 3 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
– 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
– 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
– 1 tsp Garam Masala
– 3-4 Cloves, Cardamom,
Bay Leaf,
Cinnamon
– Fresh Coriander and Mint Leaves
– 1/4 cup Ghee or Oil
– Saffron strands soaked in warm milk – Salt (to taste) 2.
**Cooking Instructions**
– **Step 1:** Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. –
**Step 2:** Marinate the chicken with yogurt, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it rest for 1 hour. –
**Step 3:** In a deep pan, fry onions till golden brown. Remove half for garnish. –
**Step 4:** Add whole spices, ginger-garlic paste, and tomatoes to the pan. Cook until oil separates. – **Step 5:** Add marinated chicken and cook until tender. –
**Step 6:** Boil the soaked rice with bay leaf, salt, and a few whole spices until 70% cooked. –
**Step 7:** Layer the rice and chicken in a pot. Add fried onions, mint, coriander, and saffron milk between layers. –
**Step 8:** Seal the pot and cook on low flame (dum) for 20 minutes, Chicken Biryani is Ready to eat
