Bhatura Recipe
Ingredients to prepare Bhatura :
Maida | 4 cups |
Semolina | 6 table spoons |
Curd | 8 table spoons |
Baking powder | 1 tea spoon |
Baking powder | 1 tea spoon |
Sugar | 1 tea spoon |
Salt | 1 tea spoon |
Oil | as required |
Bhatura preparation method :
Take maida in a mixing bowl, add semolina, curd, baking powder, sugar and salt and mix well.
Add about 2 table spoons of oil in the flour mixture and mix well.
Pour water and knead the flour into a soft dough and cover it with wet cloth.
The dough should not be too hard or too soft on touch.
Keep dough aside for atleast 4 hours.
After 4 hours take small lemon sized dough ball and roll into thick roti.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Put the rolled out roti or bhatura into the hot oil.
Using the ladle, press in the center and edges to puff up the batura.
Turn to other side and fry till light golden brown.
Remove on to the kitchen tissue paper.
Now the Bhatura are ready to serve.
Serve hot with chole, or any side dish.
